(75 F to 90 F average daily temperatures) This is one of the driest and most barren zones of the country with an annual average precipitation index of 800 – 1200 mm. There is irregular seasonal rain that begins in the month of May and ends in October, with a period of very little precipitation (or “Dog days”) between July and August.
